why i hate applying for jobs

so, i've decided to let you in on a little secret.


one of the more seminal reasons, one of the unique reasons why i hate applying for jobs or employment or whatever the semantical meaning of,


the job always turns me into homo economicus.



i look at the qualifications,
and quite on the contrary to how id like things to go around here,


i orientate my skills, capacities, abilities, strengths, talents, natural and artificial,

around an idea
that never asked me what i thought
before i ran into it.


for real?


dont you end up saying, 'i could do that, i could do that'

or


'i can do that'

or

'i will do that'

'i will do'

'i will'

...

suddenly my will is invested.


like you swear to yourself as if even thinking about it,

you're already memorizing the oath




of putting food to your body

on anyone elses terms.
